Diamonds are Forever, Live and Let Die and Goldfinger are just a few great film tracks that Manchester Camerata will play at Picnic in the Park. The North West’s leading chamber orchestra will perform these alongside well known proms favourites – Rule Britannia, Jerusalem and the 1812 Overture– with a firework finale.
Picnics are encouraged from 5.30pm with pre-concert entertainment compared by David McNeill from Times & Star starting at 6pm, which will include cars and memorabilia from The Bond Museum. The concert by Manchester Camerata will start at 7.30pm.
Food and drink will be available at the stadium or you can bring your own picnic (although please don’t bring glass, cans or alcohol), and make yourself comfortable with chairs, blankets, tables, candelabras….
“This will be a great evening that will bring the community of this great little town together for fun and festivities following a difficult year”. Workington Rotarian John Head
